Complete Job Description

The Pepperdine University Psychology Department's Online MFT programme educates students to become LMFTs and LPCCs, and the curriculum complements Pepperdine University's objective of preparing students for lives of purpose, service, and leadership. The Clinical Training Coordinator (CTC) for the Online MFT Program is responsible for managing clinical training needs of Online MFT Program students and assisting the Director of Clinical Training (DCT) for the Online MFT Program.

Duties

Provides administrative support to the Director of Clinical Training for Psychology at the Pepperdine Online MFT Program (meets weekly with DCT to review clinical training issues; collaborates with 2U placement team; coordinates practicum placement approvals and assists (as needed) in verifying that sites meet the minimal requirements; participates in ongoing assessment of clinical supervision quality and students' clinical competence; works with placement sites to address issues).

Assists in the creation and upkeep of clinical training papers and reports (maintain and update practicum site directory; review, organise and analyse practicum and supervisory survey data; establish and maintain clinical training records and documentation for each student; develop and maintain measures of clinical outcomes with clients and clinical competencies of students).

Clinical support and advisement is provided to Psychology at Pepperdine Online MFT programme practicum students (advise, counsel, and correspond with students about their clinical placement needs as needed; monitor processes for documenting student/client contact and supervision hours; collaborate with Student Success Team). 10% - Provides administrative assistance to DCT and Online MFT programme pre-practicum and practicum faculty, as well as interfaces with 2U, Inc. programme partners (stay abreast of current statutes and regulations related to clinical training and practicum; participate in programme meetings, programme review, and accreditation activities and programme improvement initiatives).

Qualifications and Skills

Degree in Psychology, Counseling, MFT, or a similar discipline is required. Clinical training and placement/practicum experience/familiarity Diversity and associated experience/qualifications receive special attention and dedication. Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail, great organisational and time management abilities, and the capacity to accomplish routine and non-routine tasks with shifting priorities are required. Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills, both as an individual and as part of a team. Excellent customer service and collaboration skills are required, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Google Suite apps, and video conferencing.

Familiarity with MFT and PCC Board of Behavioral Science rules and regulations is preferred.
Qualified candidates should be able to communicate a strong commitment to diversity and work well with people from diverse backgrounds.

Employment offers are conditional on the successful completion of a criminal, educational, and employment screening. In accordance with existing legislation, qualified persons with criminal history will be considered for employment.

This is a regular, non-exempt employment with a 40-hour work week.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with experience.
